Peel Watershed Final Consultation

Engagement Results

What We Heard

The Government of Yukon, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun, Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and Gwich’in Tribal Council (the parties) are collaborating to finalize, approve and implement the Peel Watershed Regional Land Use Plan.

The parties would like to thank everyone in the affected communities for their participation in the consultation, which ran from September 27 to November 19, 2018.

Through community meetings, stakeholder sessions, an online questionnaire, and website, over 2,000 responses were received. A summary report and appendix of all comments received is available below.

Consultation between the parties is underway to reach a consensus on a final plan.

Individual names of and other identifying information about private citizens was redacted from the appendix under section 25(1) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act
